Rome Festival at the Circus Maximus, the roads closed and the buses diverted

Today, 26 May, Roma and its players will celebrate the victory of the Conference League with the fans with two open buses. Traffic closures are expected in the Circo Massimo area from around 4.30pm to 5pm. Further closures in the Colosseum area are also possible.

Changes and further restrictions on circulation will be communicated in real time on the Roma Servizi per la Mobilità editorial platform. There will be deviations or limitations of bus lines 75-81-160-118-628-L70-3BUS.

The Rome Police Headquarters has already ordered the removal of all vehicles parked along the perimeter floors of the Circus Maximus: Via del Circo Massimo, Via dell’Ara Massima di Ercole, Via dei Cerchi from Via di San Teodoro to Piazza di Porta Capena, Via della Greca and Piazzale Ugo La Malfa.

This could lead to the possible diversion of public and private traffic on which subsequent and timely updates will be provided. The Police Headquarters has also requested that particular attention be paid to removing scooters and bicycles present along the streets and sidewalks.

The route of the open buses

At 4.50 pm the players and staff will transfer, on board two open buses, from Via dell’Arcadia to the Circus Maximus along Via Cristoforo Colombo, Via delle Terme di Caracalla, Piazza di Porta Capena;

At the Circus Maximus the buses will go around the arena, and then reach the Colosseum along Via di San Gregorio and Via Celio Vibenna. At the end of the event they will return to Via dell’Arcadia along Via Claudia, Via della Navicella, Via Druso, Vai delle Terme di Caracalla and Via Cristoforo Colombo.
