Municipality IV, the Gabriella Ferri cultural center reopens

The Tiburtino cultural center ‘Gabriella Ferri’ reopens to citizens. The notice for the assignment of cultural and artistic activities to be carried out within the premises in via delle Cave di Pietralata, in the homonymous district of the fourth municipality, has been published on the institutional portal. “We will make culture the driving force of our territory” the mini-mayor Massimiliano Umberti commented to Roma Today.

It has been closed and reopened several times. The ‘Gabriella Ferri’ is one of the three cultural centers of the Tiburtino area. In addition to this, in fact, the area can count on the ‘Aldo Fabrizi’ space in San Basilio and the one in Settecamini: the latter has been closed for years awaiting the redevelopment of the property. Recently, the structure in via delle Cave di Pietralata had welcomed the ‘Misericordia’ association and had also become a storage point. At the beginning of the year, in January, the cultural center returned to the municipal heritage: “It had become a warehouse, we couldn’t allow it” they announced from via Tiburtina at the time of the acquisition. Already in February it had been designated – together with other municipal premises – to host events organized on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the poet and writer Pier Paolo Pasolini, as the councilor for culture Maurizio Rossi had anticipated in our notebooks.

“We are getting the cultural centers back on their feet. Not only the ‘Gabriella Ferri’, Villa Farinacci will also reopen and numerous events will frame those already scheduled in the calendar” continued Massimiliano Umberti. “This municipality will pulsate with culture in every corner of the territory” concluded the mini-mayor of Tiburtino. The tender, published on May 24, will expire within the following ten days.
